The JGTO BMW Japan Golf Tour Championship Mori-Building Cup, was held at Shishido Hills Country Club West Course (7,430 yards/par 71) in Ibaragi.

Takumi Kanaya, who started the final day from the top of the leaderboard, made a 2-birdie, 2-bogey "71" with an 11-under par total. It was his first Japanese major with a wire-to-wire win that kept his in the lead from day one. This was his fourth win on the Japan Tour (including as an amateur) since the Token Home Mate Cup in April 2021.

Keita Nakajima, Young-Han Song (Korea), Hiroshi Iwata, and Yuki Inamori were in second place at 9-under, two strokes behind. Shaun Norris (South Africa) was in sixth place at 7-under, followed by Ren Yonezawa and Shintaro Kobayashi in 7th place at 6-under. No. 1 prize money ranking Taiga Semikawa is in 15th place at 3-under. Kensei Hirata, who won the Mizuno Open for the first time the previous week, was 4-over 43rd.

The key to win was a birdie on the 17th hole. Kanaya's second shot from the rough was just barely over the water hazard in front of the green and 50 cm to the pin side. According to his victory press conference, he said with a smile, "I didn't aim for it." However, he felt he had no choice defiantly. As a result, it decided his victory.
