The JGTO Mitsui Sumitomo VISA Taiheiyo Masters was held at Taiheiyo Club Gotenba Course (7,262 yards/par 70) in Shizuoka.
Shugo Imahira, who started the final day alone in the lead, finished with a two-birdie, two-bogey "70" for a 12-under total and his second win of the season. Taiki Yoshida in second place at 11-under. Takumi Kanaya who ranked second in the money list Kodai Ichihara, and Taiga Sugihara in a tie for third place at 6-under. Ryo Ishikawa, the previous winner, finished tied for 9th place at 4-under, while Keita Nakajima, the top money winner, finished the tournament tied for 20th at 2-under.
Imahei finished the front nine with a three-stroke lead over second place but struggled on the back nine.
