The JGTO Shigeo Nagashima SEGA SAMMY CUP Golf Tournament was held at The North Country Golf Club (7,178 yards/par 72) in Hokkaido.
37-year-old Jbe Kruger (South Africa), who started the final day at the lead, played a five-birdie "67". He won the tournament with a total of 23 under (265 strokes), which was three strokes better than the lowest stroke total for the 72-hole event. The victory was the first time in four years on the Japanese tour. This is his second win in total since the 2019 Shinhan Donghae Open in South Korea. In second place at 20-under total were Anthony Quayle (AUS), who started at eighth place, and Naoyuki Kataoka, who started at the final group to win in his native Hokkaido, Japan. Quayle made the best score of the day, 64. Kataoka finished a 67 with 6 birdies and 1 bogey.
On the final day, Jbe Kruger started the final round alone with a three-strokes lead and finished with five birdies and no bogey, and there was a big battle on the 6th hole as Kataoka chipped in from the rough on the right. However, Kataoka made a bogey on the 15th hole, while Krueger widened the gap with a birdie on the 17th hole. Kataoka was unable to reduce his score on the back nine and finished in second place.
