The JLPGA Bridgestone Ladies Open, was held at Chukyo Golf Club Ishino Course (6,573 yards/par 71) in Aichi.
After starting the final day in first place, Miyu Yamashita won the tournament with an 18-under total, seven stroke ahead of the second-place finisher. It was her second win of the season and her eighth win on the JLPGA Tour. Akie Iwai was the second-place with an 11-under total, followed by Shiho Kuwaki, Nana Suganuma, and Ai Suzuki in a tie for third place at 9-under.
At the par-4 1st hole, Akie Iwai, who was following Yamashita with a two-stroke lead, was the first to birdie. However, Yamashita quickly made a 6-meter putting stroke to keep a 2-stroke lead. Then, at the par 3 4th hole, Ai Suzuki, who was 3 stroke behind, came very close to an Ace with a super shot and it became birdie, but Yamashita made a 50 cm birdie putt to keep the gap between the two. Iwai and Suzuki would not imagine that Yamashita would make an easy bogey. If that is the case, they need to be aggressive and make birdie. But in that case, they would have to take risks. As a result, Iwai made a double bogey on the par-4 5th hole with a 6-3(putt), and Suzuki made a triple bogey on the par-5 6th hole when her tee shot went to the left, resulting in an OB and a six-shot lead at once. Yamashita, on the other hand, continued to keep the fairways and greens. She almost shot a creek on the par-5 9th tee shot due to mismanagement, but other than that, she made no mistakes for the rest of the 18 holes.
