[JLPGA] Game Result : JLPGA NICHIREI LADIES (16th June – 18th June)

The JLPGA NICHIREI LADIES, was held at Sodegaura Country Club Shinsode Course (6,621 yards/par 72) in Chiba.

Miyu Yamashita finished a 69 on the final day with three birdies and no bogeys, totaly 17-under for her fourth win of the season, three stroke read from the second place. She was able to hold on to her lead from first day for the win wire-to-wire. Last year, she won on Mother's Day, the last day of the Salonpas Cup, and this time, she won on Father's Day, her 10th win on the tour.

Akie, the older sister of the Iwai Twins, who was in the final group on the same final day as Yamashita, was in second place at 14 under par. While her younger sisters, Chisato and Shuri Sakuma, were also in third place at 12 under par. Mami Fukuda, Karen Tsuruoka, and Ayako Kimura were in fifth place at 10 under par. In eighth place at 9 under par were Pei-Ying Tsai, Lala Anai, Miyu Goto, Hana Nagai, Mao Nozawa, and Hiroko Azuma.

The final group matchup with Akie Iwai and Chisato Iwai was tense. While Yamashita had one birdie in the front nine, both Akie and Chisato had three birdies, and the gap between Yamashita and Iwai Twins was reduced to two strokes. However, Yamashita was not in a hurry, and at the 13th hole, three strokes ahead of the duo, she made her second shot 80cm from the pin, and made birdie to widen the gap. After that, Iwai Twins were unable to catch up to Yamashita. And then she maintained her par play to win the tournament.
