The TOTO Japan Classic was held at the Seta Golf Course North Course (6,616 yards / par 72) in Otsu, Siga.
The TOTO Japan Classic is a USLPGA Tour tournament that started in 1973 as the LPGA Japan Classic. This tournament, which brings together the world's top level players, has been held under the name TOTO Japan Classic since 2015.
Gemma Dryburg (Scotland), who started second place and one stroke behind in the final day, make a "65" to win her first USLPGA Tour tournament with a total of 20 under par.
Kana Nagai was in second place at 16-under, Linn Grant (Sweden) was in third place at 15-under, and Yuna Nishimura was in fourth place at 13-under. Momoko Ueda, who started the day as the leader, dropped two strokes with a 74 and ended up tied for fifth place at 12-under with previous champion Ayaka Furue and Mimu Yamashita.
Dryburg tied for the lead with her second birdie of the day on the 7th hole. She then moved on to the back nine at the solo first place. Momoko Ueda, who was in the same group, made a double bogey at the 11th hole, but Dryburg made a birdie to widen the gap. Then, from the 13th hole, she made three consecutive birdies, and she birdied the final hole as well, and the event came to a grand conclusion with applause from the over 5,000 people in the gallery.
