The top half of this year's tournament was very crowded, but Ayako Kimura, who started the tournament tied for ninth place, pulled off a major upset to win the championship, bouncing back from a six-shot deficit.
After bogey on the 10th hole, she hit the third shot from the edge in front of the green on the 11th hole.
She scored a chip in birdie with a pitching wedge of about 25 yards, and took the momentum to hit the third shot (about 103 yards remaining) on the 14th hole of par 5 to the pin, making it the one that determined the victory.
