Rakuten Super Ladies, was held at Tokyu THE QUEEN’S HILL GOLF CLUB (6,540 yards/par 72) in Fukuoka

Kokona Sakurai won her second event of the season following the Shiseido Ladies four weeks ago. On the final day, she started the day in 2nd place, 2 strokes behind the leader, and finished a "66" with 6 birdies and no bogeys. She improved her score to 21-under for the come-from-behind victory.

She set her target score at 21-under for the final day, and she was playing with only one thing in mind: to get closer to that score. She made her second shot on the par-4 1st hole 30cm for a birdie, and then made birdies on the par-5 4th and 7th holes, both with her second shots close to the edges. The highlight was the par-3 8th hole. Her tee shot stopped about 15 meters to the left of the pin. It was a downhill putting stroke, and it looked like it would be difficult to even bring it in. However, she found the perfect distance and made birdie on this hole. On the 10th hole, a par 4, she put 50 cm from the rough and made birdie on that hole to take the sole lead. Suzuki, the two-time money queen, was not going to let her opponent win easily, and when she missed a 1-meter birdie putt on the par-4 13th hole, Suzuki caught up with her. On the next 14th hole, a par 4, she put her second shot 1 meter above the pin and made birdie to regain the sole lead. She finished on par through the final hole to finish on 21-under par as planned, and he finished one shot ahead of second place for his second win on the tour.
