The JLPGA Miyagi TV Cup Dunlop Ladies Open Golf, was held at Rifu Golf Club (6,569 yards/par 72) in Miyagi.

Akie Iwai, who started the final day in the lead, finished a 13-under total to wire-to-wire win the tournament for the second week in a row. Mao Saigo is in second place at 11-under total with two strokes behind. Miyu Yamashita, who was aiming for her second consecutive victory in this tournament, tied for third place at 9 under par with Jiyai Shin, Mayu Hamada, and Amiyu Ozeki. Akie Iwai became the fourth player since the JLPGA Tour was established to wire-to-wire win the tournament two weeks in a row, following Bo-Mee Lee (2003), Jiyai Shin (2006), and Ai Suzuki (2007).

Perhaps the most iconic scene of her game was the eagle on the par-5 8th. She successfully hit her second shot of 227 yards remaining and on the green. However, it was a left-to-right putt line, also uphill and downhill from the back of the pin. She looked back over that "The ball will roll well as it heads toward the cup. So I had an image of stroking it about 6 meters. But it just went in hard." This is her style. Her strong feeling was conveyed to the ball, and it went on the line and into the cup. However, she made a three-putt bogey at the 11th hole. Then, at the 12th hole, her first shot went to the bunker. "If I had made bogey on that hole, the good momentum would have gone downhill at once. I think the 12th hole was more important than the eagle." After that, she birdied the 14th and 16th holes and closed with a par on the final 18th hole.
