[JGTO] Game Result : Vantelin Tokai Classic (29/09/2022 – 02/10/2022)

The Vantelin Tokai Classic was held at the “Miyoshi Country Club West Course” (7,300 yards / par 71) in Miyoshi, Aichi.

Rookie Riki Kawamoto came from four stroke behind to win his second career victory on the tour. He caught up to Yuto Katsuragawa on the front nine, and from there it was a dead heat. On the final hole, their second shots went at about the same spot, about 4 meters to the pin. The difference was only a few centimeters. The line was downhill and left-to-right putt. Katsuragawa, who put first, missed his chance, and Kawamoto, who put next, made a brilliant cup-in.

Katsuragawa looked back, "It was downhill and fast, so I couldn't put it my imagination. So I was reading too deep." Kawamoto, on the other hand, looked back and said, "If Katsuragawa's putting had gone in, I would not have won the tournament."
