“For The Players By The Players” was held at the “THE RAYSUM” (7,137 yards / par 71) in Annaka, Gunma.

Instead of the conventional stroke system, this tournament uses the Stableford Scoring System, which is a point system that converts points into total points: 8 points for an Albatross, 5 points for an Eagle, 2 points for a Birdie, 0 points for a Par, -1 point for a Bogey, -3 points for a Double Bogey or more, and so on.

Shintaro Kobayashi, who started alone at the top of the leaderboard, had five birdies and two bogeys, adding 8 points to his total for his first win on Tour with 41 points.

Kobayashi started out well with a birdie at the 1st hole, but missed a 4-meter par putt for a bogey at the 9th hole. At the following 10th hole, his tee shot went to a bunker on the left, and his second shot also landed in a bunker in front of the green, leaving him with plugged lie. And the resuld it was bogeys followed.

However, from this point on, he pulled the tide back with five consecutive pars. Then, on the par 3 of 16th hole, right after Ryuichi Oiwa, who was also in the last group, made a birdie putt to close the gap to 3 points, he made a 2-meter birdie putt and he did a fist pump. He then made a 2-meter birdie putt to win the championship, widening the gap to 5 points again.
