The ANA Open Golf Tournament was held at the “Sapporo Golf Club Wattsu Course” (7,063 yards / par 72) in Kita-Hiroshima, Hokkaido.
Tomoharu Otsuki, who came out of third place 5 stroke behind, played no bogey, 6 birdies "66". He then won a playoff with Ryo Ishikawa (18th hole par 4) with a chip-in eagle on the first hole, his second win on tour since the 2019 "Kansai Open".
Starting the day 6 stroke behind the previous day's leader, Yuta Ikeda, Ryo Ishikawa got off to a good start with 3 consecutive birdies from the first hole. He made 2 consecutive birdies from the 8th hole (par 3), that he made birdie for a 5-meter to the pin. and finished the front nine with a "31" (par 36). He also made birdie the 12th hole (par 5) to take the lead.
However, Tomoharu Otsuki and Yuta Ikeda, who were playing in the final group one spot behind, caught up to them, and the three players were tied for the lead at 19 under par. But, Yuta Ikeda made a bogey at the finishing hole, and could not go to the playoff at 18 under par.
