The JLPGA Ito En Ladies Golf Tournament 2023, was held at GREAT ISLAND CLUB (6,741 yards/par 72) in Chiba.

Mao Saigo, who started the final day in the lead, won for the first time this season with a 16-under total. Her sixth win on tour after a year and a half was at a course located in her beloved hometown of Chiba, Japan. Ayako Kimura was second at 13-under, three stroke behind, followed by Ai Suzuki, Hana Lee (Korea), Yuri Yoshida, and Minami Hiruta at 12-under. Sakura Koiwai, who like Suzuki started from 2nd place, was tied for 7th place at 11-under, along with Shoko Sasaki and Haruka Morita.

Saigo, who made a course record-tying 63 on the second day of the tournament, continued her good condition on the final day. She made a bogey on the 2nd hole, but three consecutive birdies from the 5th hole put her on top of the leaderboard. At the par-5 15th, she birdied her third shot from 98 yards out with a 54-degree to 4 meters, widening the gap to second place by three strokes. Then, on the 18th hole, she made the winning putt of 1 meter, and when she picked up the ball and looked at the cup, her teary eyes relaxed a little.
