The JGTO ACN Championship Golf Tournament was held at Sanko Golf Club Japan Course (7,295 yards/par 72) in Hyogo.
Yuki Inamori, who started the day two strokes behind in third place, finished with seven birdies and one bogey for a "66". He won a playoff with Young-Han SONG (KOREA), who was tied for the lead at 17-under par. This was his 5th win on the tour since the "JAPAN PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP by Sato Foods" last year. The previous year's champion, Shugo Imahira, who came out of the lead, could not reduce his score to "72" with five birdies, three bogeys, and one double bogey and finished at 13-under total, missing the championship for the second consecutive season. Shaun NORRIS (South Africa) was third at 14-under total. Ryo Noro and Mikiya Akutsu were in fifth place at 12 under par, while 2018 tournament winner Yuta Ikeda started the tournament in second place, one stroke behind, but increased his score to a "75" to finish in 12th place at 9 under par, along with Taiga Semikawa and others.
Known as "the player whose shots don't bend," Inamori is aiming for his eighth consecutive No. 1 ranking in fairway keeping, and is currently averaging 79.740% this season, a figure that is still a threat. "I'm not a long hitter, so I have to hit my tee shots to the fairway. If it goes to the rough, there will be more distance left on the second shot." it thinks that is a negative expression but, we can recognize that as long as it is on the fairway, he is confident that he can handle a little bit. His FW keeping percentage for the season rose from 79.239% before the tournament to 79.740% at the end of the season. He is one step closer to surpassing the 80% mark for the first time in his career.
